Every industry has its own language.
Batting a thousand. Cover all your bases. Knock it out of the park. Left field. Whole new ball game.
While we’ll leave you to figure out how we somehow manage to be both Royals and Cardinals and Red Sox fans here at Brightergy, what isn’t up for debate is the fact that even though all of the above are terms that originated on the baseball field as slang or jargon, they’re also all terms you’ve likely used when not playing or event talking about baseball. Chances are, you’ve probably even used it in a business setting.
Sports jargon and metaphors easily assimilate themselves into our everyday language. And you can probably think of other terms that were once purely technical language, but are now widely understood words and terms used in the public discourse.
Just like other industries, solar energy has its own jargon, buzzwords, and terms – it’s own technical language. As a new industry, those words haven’t exactly found their way out of the niche just yet.
So from broad definitions (if you’ve ever wondered, what is renewable energy?) to electricity-technical terms (what’s an electrical current really?), we’ve got you covered in this Slideshare presentation.
