Reflects “Green” Core Value of Electrical Distributor
Kansas City, MO – 8/1/11 – Western Extralite Company installs solar electrical generation system in Sedalia, St. Joseph, and Warrensburg, Missouri reflecting one of their principal core values to help the environment and live by their Go Green, Save Green philosophy.
Each 25 kilowatt system, designed and installed by Brightergy Solar, consists of 108 solar panels and will offset 60-75% of the energy used at most locations. “We chose these Missouri sites because the KCP&L solar rebates make it a very attractive investment with a quick payback”, says Tom Isenberg, President of Western Extralite Company.
Each system will produce about 30,000 kilowatt hours per year, which is equivalent to taking 10 cars off the road for 30 years. “We believe in what we do,” says Isenberg. “We are happy to help other companies and individuals with sustainable lighting solutions, and also we feel it is important to live the way you suggest others live. We are pleased to set a new standard for environmental operations that reflects our values as a company. In 2009, we built a LEED Silver certified building in Lawrence, Kansas. This solar project is another sign of our commitment.” Isenberg says, “I am happy to give anyone a tour and talk to them about our decision-making process.”
