ST. LOUIS, MO -The sunny days in St. Louis have been paying off for folks who use solar energy. The city of Florissant, Missouri, recently had solar panels installed on the roof of the civic center. Federal stimulus funds paid for the $330,000 project.
Now Florissant is saving about $1000 a month on the electric bills. Officials estimate the panels are producing enough electricity to power about 1/3 of the center.
