The solar-energy industry is relatively young but growing exponentially; it became the fastest-growing industry in 2010, and continues to break records each year. With this incredible growth comes the opportunity to help shape pro-renewable energy policy and promote our industry.

Brightergy is an advocate in many different ways for policies that promote the long-term viability of the solar industry in Missouri, Massachusetts, and nationwide. Our employees regularly speak at various industry events and volunteer a significant amount of time educating the public about solar energy. Susan Brown leads public affairs and helps facilitate various initiatives to promote solar.

Susan serves on the the national board of directors for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), as well as the vice-chair for the Missouri chapter of SEIA (MOSEIA).

Brightergy is also actively involved with sustainable organizations across the state, including the USGBC – both the Central Plains and Missouri Gateway Chapters, where we are a Green Schools Sponsor – the St. Louis RCGA, where we are member-participants of the annual Green Business Challenge, St. Louis Green, and the Environmental Excellence Business Network.
