Vice President of Project Finance- Boston

Position: VP of Project Finance- Boston

 

Brightergy is a fast growing full service solar integrator with offices in Kansas City, St Louis, and Boston.  We are looking for a Vice President of Project FInance that will be responsible for originating and structuring financing for Brightergy’s solar projects.  He or she will acts as a manager between Brightergy, banks, and investors for capital-raising, deal structures, and financial model establishment and analysis. This position will work from our Boston office and report directly to the CEO and CFO while having a financial analyst reporting to them.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead team member for project financing structures
  • Initiate and develop relationships with financiers and securing funding sources through large lending institutions for both debt and equity
  • Negotiate at a senior level with potential financiers
  • Oversee financial models for current and future tax-equity and debt products
  • Prepare collateral materials for investor presentations
  • Identify and create financial product offerings based on different geographic market needs
  • Make regular reports to the CEO and CFO on project finance and development
  • Provide finance support to the sales and project development teams in financing special projects

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a quantitative or technical field
  • 5 years experience in corporate finance
  • Expert in MS Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong communicator with ability to effectively interface with investors, customers, and senior management
  • Proven track record structuring finance models and executing them
  • Strong understanding of financing and accounting principles

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Renewable energy project finance experience
  • Experience raising >$25 million from institutional investors
  • Familiarity with the solar PV industry, competition, and trends
  • Intimate knowledge of structuring renewable energy investment funds, including the complicated tax elements
  • Close connections with banks and renewable energy investors
